What is the point of having inhibitions, anyway? It's so sad to be afraid of living life. I wish that I had realized this sooner. Your own happiness comes from you. You can't depend on other people to hand it to you. You need to cast off the fear and go out and find it yourself. And you absolutely can't let people bring you down. Any relationship that is really worth anything isn't something you have to fight for and cry over to maintain. People who are too self-centered and insecure to show real love need to let go of that; life is way too short. I've taken my happiness into my own hands, and I'd like to think that I've become a stronger person. It's like I was asleep, waiting for someone to turn on the light, when all I had to do was flip the switch myself. I have honeslty never been happier than I am right now. I realized this last Wednesday night, laying on the pavement of the South Building parking lot with some of my best friends and staring at the stars. Cliche as it is, the best things in life are free. And they're right there in front of you, if you have the strength to reach out. Sat, Sep. 24th, 2005, 02:35 pm meme

Great week! Music camp was incredibly fun! The concerts were great. I made it into the honors recital singing L'Heure Exquise (Reynaldo Hahn. That's all I need to say!) The chamber ensembles were really fun, too. I was in a women's group and a flute quartet, and we did incredible music. We had our final concerts today for band and choir, and they were really awesome. It was just really fun hanging out with everyone and getting to know some people better! I love all of my lovely girlfriends! We had so many fun times in class and downtown. (The hat store is my new favorite place in the world!)
Despite being totally exhausted, I had a pretty good night. Went to the Jazz Fest after the band concert and hung out with a bunch of people. Tres fun. Now I'm packing for Lake Winnepesaukee. I'm so psyched! Well, I need to finish getting my stuff together. Love to all! Mon, Jul. 11th, 2005, 04:37 pm la la la
Yeah, so pineapple salsa is the best thing known to man, and I'm not even kidding. It is good.
Had a fun weekend. Went to Downingtown on Thursday to visit my cousins, and we went shopping and got cool stuff. Got back on Saturday and resolved that I will run every day for the rest of the summer. Now my quads hurt like a mother. Went to Steve's b-day party last night, which was tres amusant. Lots of mad dancing with my girls ensued!
I'm turning 18 this Friday. Uber strange.
Well, next week is Penn State camp, which will be fun. Then it's off to Lake Winnepesaukee with the Warrens (Mom's side of the family) for a week for some boating and water-skiing and kayaking and such. Will be tres crazy but tres fun. Wed, Jul. 6th, 2005, 01:13 pm update!
Wow. It's been a while. Alaska was incredible. We went on a cruise for the first week we were there, and it was awesome. We saw glaciers and humpback whales and all kinds of cool stuff. Everyone on the crew was really young (and really attractive). We spent the rest of our trip at a lodge. We went kayaking and fishing and hiking, which was tres fun. I just can't possibly put this whole experience into words. It was just incredible.
I'm finally recovering from getting my wisdom teeth out! It's been five days - I can eat real food now. Yay! Thanks to Emma and Chris for visiting me! I got extremely bored just sitting around with that ice pack on my face.
Well, I'll be around for pretty much the rest of the summer, so if there's going to be a picnic or an orgy or something else of a social nature, count me in! Tue, Jun. 14th, 2005, 03:30 pm okay
Packing for Alaska is rough. And now I am taking the APUS final... God, save me. Well, happy finals everyone! Tue, Jun. 14th, 2005, 02:23 pm hmm...
Your Birthdate: July 15 |
With a birthday on the 15th of any month, you are apt to have really strong attachments to home, family and domestic scene.
The 1 and 5 equaling 6, provide the sort of energy that makes you an excellent parent or teacher.
You are very responsible and capable. This is an attractive and an attracting influence.
You like harmony in your environment and strive to maintain it.
You tend to learn by observation rather than study and research.
You may like to cook, but you probably don't follow recipes.
This number shows artistic leanings and would certainly support any talents that may be otherwise in your makeup.
You're a very generous and giving person, but perhaps a bit stubborn in ways. |
How true!
Please, summer, be here! Only one full day of school and a couple of finals left! Oh god, let me live through it. I might not have to take the APUS final because I'm leaving for Alaska on Wednesday. Fun. I'm trying to put all of my favorite albums on my MP3 player, and it's very painstaking. I'm so ready for vacation. But I'm going to miss everyone a lot! Save the fun parties for when I get back! Unfortunately, I get home on the 29th and then, joy of joys, I get my wisdom teeth out on the 30th. No fun at all. After that, I'm chillin' like a villain until Penn State music camp starts on July 17th. Then we're off to Lake Winnepesaukee for a few days, and we're camping at Pine Creek sometime before marching band starts. School can't be over soon enough!
It's so nice to be almost done with school! Oh my gosh. Seriously. I only have to take to more tests for the rest of the year, which is uber awesome. No homework for the second day in a row! Hell yes! I am totally exhausted, so I'm going to take a nap. I actually have time to do that sort of thing now! Woohoo!

This weekend has been slightly crazy, but still fun. Friday night was the music formal, and it was awesome! Chris and Bobby, Meg's date, came over before dinner and we took lots of pictures. Chris and I ended up getting matching a boutonniere and corsage for one another, which was quite funny. We had dinner at Sarah's and then went over to the dance. They played lots of good dancing music. Chris and I were swing dancing, and I kind of sucked, but at least my dress didn't fall down! It was strapless - not the best idea in the world, but at least it looked good. I wish we could have just danced forever! It was such a great night! Sun, Jun. 5th, 2005, 11:52 am woot
This is me trying to avoid studying: Chamber Singers concert today! Yay! Updated le site du web!
Time for an update! Life is so hectic right now. So much just needs to be done before the end of the school year, and I just don't have the energy to do it. In other news, the Thespian banquet was on Sunday night. It was beautifulous what with Maggie's and my infamous kiss forever preserved in the Thespian documentary. The initiation was cool, and senior speeches were sad - much crying ensued on my part. Sadness! It hit me that I'm almost a senior, and that is one scary thought. I'm not ready! I want to hide. Well, I'm off to Jazz Fest...
Sun, May. 29th, 2005, 12:13 pm yay!
Cabaret was awesome! It was so much fun to get up there and belt out Strongest Suit with Meg. Tres amusant! Thanks to everyone who came! It was great. There were so many cute songs and scenes. I was kind of surprised that I didn't get all emotional when we were all up on stage together. I guess it's because I'll still be seeing most of the seniors when they're at Penn State. Ah, well. The banquet is tonight, and that should be fun. I need to find something to wear! (Haha! That's the story of my life!) Sat, May. 21st, 2005, 02:44 pm haha

Yeah. This weekend was pretty nice. Meg had her birthday party on Friday night, and that was awesomely fun. We did karaoke and had mad dancing. Whenever Kelley, Emily, Christy, Meg and I get together, we have incredible dance parties. If only you could have been in the light booth at district orchestra. Wow. As of right now, I am extremely exhausted. I had to study for the Lechnar test and write a speech yesterday. I stayed up really late and got up really early, which is always joyous. But now I'm done! For this week at least. Summer, where are you?
